Focus Prince Ali
was bred in 1997 by Loy and Linda Davidson at their renowned
facility, Focus Farm, in Missouri. Their breeding
was concentrated
on crossing Khemosabi-bred horses to the very well-known
straight Egyptian stallion, Ruminaja Ali. Focus
horses are extremely typey; they are known for having
gorgeous heads and spectacular movement. Focus horses remain
highly sought-after and many of them have been exported all over the world.
The moment I saw Focus Alianna in pasture with her new
foal, I just knew this was going to be the colt of my
dreams. The mare had the most exquisite head I had
ever seen, and her baby looked just like her. After meeting Prince Ali’s very tall and elegant sire,
Prince Fanali, I was certain that it was a going to be a
winning combination.
Focus Prince Ali (or “Princey”, as we fondly call him)
was purchased as a suckling with the intention of being
our premier herd sire. However, we soon recognized
that there were too many Arabians flooding the market
and not enough good homes for them to go to. We
only bred him twice in the past and he produced two nice
colts:
Sateen, who is still
a stallion, and
Glider, a gelding.
Princey experienced a successful show career as he began
maturing into a very beautiful, tall (15.2 hands), and typey
stallion. His very exotic head and large expressive
eyes help make him a judge’s favorite. Prior to his
stint as a breeding stallion, he was shown extensively
in halter and briefly in hunter pleasure. Princey is a phenomenal
mover with immense capabilities. He is a very
talented and clever horse with so much potential left to
demonstrate.
Recognizing that Princey’s remarkable promise remains
largely untapped, we have come to the exceptionally
difficult decision to sell him. He is presently
available to a buyer who is committed to exercising Princey’s potential as a herd sire or as a riding horse
(hunter pleasure or dressage). He presents an
impeccable pedigree and is SCID-clear.
His dam, Focus Alianna, is very well-known for her
award-winning offspring. She is especially popular
overseas, as most of her babies have been exported. Princey’s maternal brother, Focus Highlander, was a
US Top Ten National Stallion, who was exported to
Argentina. His maternal sister, Focus Seneca, was
named British National Champion Mare after being
exported to Halsdon Arabians in England. Focus
Gabriella, his other maternal sister, placed 1st in 2000
at the All Nations Cup Show and 2nd at the Salon Du
Cheval World Championships. His other maternal
sister, Focus Ali L Shaklan, was named International
Champion Mare. And the list goes and on and on…
Princey’s sire, Prince Fanali, is an example of the
classic Focus horse with the added bonus of having The
Egyptian Prince as his grandsire. Prince Fanali is
a very accomplished horse with many Class A halter wins
and regional championships in Country English Pleasure,
Show Hack, and a US National Top Ten Title in 2nd Level
Dressage.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own such a
well-bred stallion with star-acclaimed, world-renowned siblings,
sire, and dam.
